Professional Prosthetic and Orthotic Services

Prosthetics

A prosthesis is an artificial device designed to replace a missing part of the human body. Due to modern medical achievements prosthetics often boast some of the most advanced technologies. We have extensive experience in the designing, manufacturing and fitting of the prosthesis to provide patients with optimal comfort and functionality, prescribed to each patient’s unique requirements.

Orthotics

An orthosis is an externally applied device such as a brace or splint used to support, align, prevent or correct the function of the moveable parts of the body. Our team of medical professionals manufacture, supply, fit and maintain medical devices for a number of conditions. Our ample experience is found in the skilled and experienced hands of our orthotists who ensure that every patient receives the utmost care and understanding required to assist them on their journey.

Paediatric Orthotics

We are proud to have orthotists with a very keen interest in paediatrics. Our orthotists have the necessary abilities, skills, accreditations, experience and specific training to diagnose, supply, manufacture and fit a number of orthotic solutions for children. We are highly specialised in the post-surgical treatment of Craniosynostosis and reshaping of positional and congenital baby-head-deformities, such as asymmetries, brachycephaly, plagiocephaly, scaphocephaly and un-cosmetic cranial deformities. Our FDA-approved protective, post-surgical and remoulding helmets not only re-shape and protect the child’s head, but also result in better outcomes for their development. Protective helmets are also advised for children who are prone to chronic seizures or incidents of falling.
GM&A also provide custom ankle foot orthotic solutions and are dedicated to finding the best mobility solutions for children with gait abnormalities, cerebral palsy, spina bifida and rare genetic diseases.

Podiatry

Podiatry or podiatric medicine is a branch of medicine devoted to the assessment, diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle and lower extremity. Podiatrists provide prophylactic care and management of patients with systemic conditions such as Diabetes and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Our founder, Grant Monaghan, is not only a qualified Podiatrist, but he is also an Orthotist/Prosthetist, this unique combination enables him to offer patients insights and knowledge from two disciplines.
